Interesting lunch hour...

My friend and I went to work out at Curves at lunch. On the way a guy beside me points at my back tire and tells me it's flat. Great! Well we were almost to the parking lot at Curves so I just pulled in and parked. Sure enough, it was almost flat. My friend's husband works at the National Guard Armory close by so we called him. Thankfully him and his co-worker came to help us out! They changed my tire while we worked out. Then I treated them all to lunch at the very fancy Wendy's. Hey, it was their choice! I have a roofing nail in my tire. No idea where I got that but thankfully my spare is a regular size tire since I drive an SUV. The spare is dirty and ugly and doesn't have the same rim or whatever you call that silver part around the middle of the tire but at least it's not flat!

Another beautiful day in the South...

Today is starting out pretty good. It's 63 degrees and expected to get in the upper 70's. I love Fall! The weather is just perfect! The boys love to play outside all the time but it's especially nice this time of year.

Being stuck here in my office with NO windows is not much fun :-( . I hope to get out at lunch time today and enjoy some of this wonderful weather!

The Parent/Teacher Conference

Met with Austin's 2nd grade teacher today. It was great! Austin is such a great kid! She said he was respectful, always did as he was asked and she could count on him. She also said he was a leader in the class. We are so proud of Austin. Now if he would bring some of those qualities home everyday that would be just perfect! He's really not a bad child at home but he does tend to have a smart mouth. (I can't imagine where he got that!)

My hope for him is that he will continue to do well in school and get great scholarships to college and save his dad and I lots of money!! Seriously my hope for him is that he does continue to do well and goes to a great college and chooses something he really loves to do. Like any parent, I want the very best for both of my boys!

I'm a "work outside the home mom"

I work full time as a Computer Consultant at a University. It's a great job and I get to stay online almost all the time! I've been working in this environment for almost 15 years. I really miss my boys during the day but also find it rewarding to get out and work. I have a WONDERFUL child care provider that keeps Daniel and Austin in her home. She is so great! She is my age and has two little girls of her own. She has been keeping Austin since he was 4 and has had Daniel since about 3 months.

About our family

Hi. I'm Julie. I'm the queen of my household. I have a husband named Cody and two boys: Austin Cody who is almost 8 and Daniel Levi who just turned 2. Cody and I have been married for 15 years. Doesn't seem possible but it's true!

These are the boys! Aren't they adorable!?
