Sometimes Toddlers suprise you...

We went out to dinner for my birthday last night. Daniel was his usual self and cried about putting his shoes on. Didn't want to be buckled in the car seat, etc. I figued we were in for it but we got to the resturant and he was so good! He sat in the booth with me and ate and colored. I was amazed! Maybe it's a trend and he will be good from now on?? I won't hold my breath. It's really had to tell with 2 year olds. One minute they are pitching a huge fit and the next they are sweet and loving. You just never know.

It's my birthday!

It's been great! It actually started Friday when my two best friends kidnapped me and took me to Olive Garden to lunch. They had cleared it with my boss and I had the afternoon off! We got manicures and pedicures. It was great!! Today my friend, Joan (also in on the Friday thing), brought cake! My parents came and took me out to lunch also! Now I can't wait to see what my boys have lined up for tonight! Getting older stinks but I like the fun stuff that goes with it!

I've been neglecting my Blog

It seems I haven't had any time to write lately. I have been busy at work and at home. We have had too many deaths in the family. I've been to three funerals since Sept. The latest was my great-uncle Garland Sentell's. He was a wonderful man! He was a preacher. He was one of those special preachers that do it because they love God and they want to share that love with everyone! He didn't do it for a paycheck. His funeral was a very Spiritual service. It was two hours long but you didn't really notice. There were so many great things to be said about him! Once of the ministers actually called him the "Billly Graham of Pickens County". Now I doubt my uncle Garland would like that too much because he was so humble. He did everything for the glory of God and he would not want any credit. He got up every morning at 5:30 am and stayed on his knees praying until about 7:00. Everyday! One of the ministers asked "Who will take his place?" That's a good question. I guess it showed me that I need to review my walk with God. I need to take more time to pray for people and do what I'm supposed to be doing. I will miss Uncle Garland very much but I know that he is so happy to be in Heaven! His wife died two years ago and he had missed her so much. I'm sure it was quite a reunion!

Man I feel like crud today!

I just feel so drained and tired. It's been a long day and I'm ready to go home! I have a headache and that's not helping. So my only post on my blog today is going to be a big whine. Sorry about that. Maybe tomorrow I will feel better and have something interesting to write. I did notice the sun was out when I walked by a window so that is good news! Also, it's supposed to finally feel like fall tonight and I like that too!

Not the greatest night of Trick or Treat

Daniel took a late nap which I thought was a good thing. WRONG. He woke up in a horrible mood. He cried and cried and cried. He went crazy when I held up the Pooh costume he was going to wear (it was one Austin had worn when he was little). Well I went for plan two. Camo shirt and jeans (deer hunter like daddy). Austin was a Nija (sp?). We finally got on our way. We live out in the country so there are no sidewalks and everyone is spread out so it's in and out of the car seat driving to each house. It's really a work out! We finally got started around 6:30. Much later than I had planned but we were painting the kitchen and it took forever! Anyway we finally got going and Daniel warmed up to the idea of people putting candy in his bucket. We drove the twenty minute drive to my parents and hit a few of my aunt's houses over there. Then it was 20 minutes back home where my sweet husband had spaghetti, salad and bread ready to eat (it was around 8:30 pm by then). I have NO pictures. I may put there costumes (if you can call them that) back on and get some. It was also 80 degrees on Sat. so that made it really feel like Halloween. LOL I do have some cool pictures of our pumpkin but they are still on the camera.
